OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 Certification

 

What are OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified yarns?

Carrying an OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification means that our yarns and threads have passed the highest standard of product safety testing, making them suitable for direct contact with the most sensitive skin, even babies and small children. Each certified product has been tested for over 350 harmful substances by independent laboratories, and verified to be free of harmful levels of irritants, allergens, or carcinogens.

The testing process evaluates things like heavy metals, formaldehyde, pesticides, and hundreds of other potentially harmful chemicals. Testing criteria is updated at least once a year as new research or regulatory requirements come out.

Our OEKO-TEX® certified yarns and threads are listed as Class 1 products in the STANDARD 100 testing criteria. This specifically includes any products designed for babies and has the strictest requirements to be certified. Learn more about the STANDARD 100 testing criteria from OEKO-TEX® directly.

Which yarns and threads are OEKO-TEX certified?
